Details:
This all-original collection of tunes written and performed by Danielle will instantly make it to your "favorites" folder on your I-pod. By mixing the instant recognizability and heartbreak of good ol'' American country music with the raw grit true to the spirit of Detroit rock and roll, you get a sound all its own. Recorded over 3 months at the famed Pearl Sound Studios just outside of The Motor City, these songs have been plucked at the peak of ripeness for that fresh, new sound flavor.
Producer and musician Chuck Alkazian, together with guitar maestro Brian Lord, have meticulously combed through each and every note to maintain the integrity of each song written by Danielle Car. Capturing the soundtrack to a woman''s heart is no easy task, but this dynamic trio have imprinted an effortless presentation on each track. Danielle''s gritty vocals are accented perfectly by guitar, mandolin, lap-steel, percussion, piano, B3 organ and whatever else they felt like throwing in that day!
On "Walk of Shame", the lightning tempo is upstaged only by catchiness and flawless harmonies. It''s PG-13 theme is just enough to make you blush.
"Drive My Car" is as much a blues number as the collar of the gal who wrote it and sings it. Rock and roll free of frivolity and in its purest form...and, by title definition, the perfect driving song. Love that harmonica.
"My Biggest Mistake" is the backstage pass to a breaking heart. Swelling strings and aching harmonies set the scene for this most introspective piece on The EP....and it wouldn''t be a country album without a cheating song.
"Hazard to my Health" defines the physical changes one may experience when falling in love...or like...or lust. Butterflies are just the beginning! The echoing chant through the last chorus and relatability of the tune make it a fav.
"Pretty Please" is a countrified homage to Queen with layered guitars and symphonic harmonies. Just the right amount of twang and bravado!
