"TRUST"
Near the ocean, in the sleepy village of North Vancouver BC Canada, I found the organic sound the I was looking for--the organic sound that I grew to love so much when I began writing songs in the early seventies.
When I first played these songs for Paul Baker on my guitar, he said, “I have the perfect band for you Wayne.” He also had he perfect studio for me being the owner of Bakerstreet Studio and Paul was the perfect engineer to assist in producing the sound that I was longing to create for each of these songs.
Paul introduced me to Robbie Steininger, who quickly became the band leader to help tweek the chord charts a little and play all the guitars. Two days later we assembled the band in the studio and recorded all the bed tracks in two morning sessions. All the songs (except Forgive the Past) are ‘one take’ live recordings and solos! This is the band of my dreams come true!
Many thanks to Paul Baker for his mastery in production and mixing. Infinite gratitude goes to Miss Julie Blue, who graced this album with her mastery in arranging the tunes. Big thanks to Robbie Steininger for his gift of leading the band. And a big mahalo to all the “Bakerstreet Boys” for bringing forth these songs from TRUST with their mastery.
