The Double J Band. The idea of the name came from the letter J in our names (Joe and Jamie). In 2003 Jamie and I got together to jam and to see what each one of us could do keeping it all for fun. We came up with a bunch of ideas for songs and created quite a lot. This compilation is a collection of songs we thought you might like. Two songs Nature’s Music and Soundtrack To A Dream showcase Jamie as an awesome keyboard piano player although he is featured all through the album. This album is all instrumental using different styles. I was going to write lyrics, however we felt the songs had something to say in their own right. I created the foundation of most of the tracks with a PC using basic drums, bass, keyboard and guitar having a sound to where the song might lead. We overlaid multiple instruments playing in real-time to what was previously recorded. This album was recorded at my studio Playbak Recording Studio. It is a small low budget studio but it works. As you probably gathered by now The Double J Band is a studio band. We decided to release this CD on my independent record label Playbakmusic Records. Lee Selwood’s A New World was released last year through this record label. All this can be found at PLAYBAK. https://www.tradebit.com
