Six friends from Santa Clarita, CA wanted to start a band that played fun upbeat music and heavy breakdowns, and Behead Thy King (BTK) was born in February of 2009. Inspired by their favorite bands like A Day To Remember, Attack Attack!, and The Devil Wears Prada, BTK brings a lighter side to metalcore. Dubbed "Fun-core," BTK has become know for their audaciously funny and entertaining live performance, which consists of comedy, dancing, upbeat music, and heavy hardcore breakdowns.
This recording, their first, shows the many faces of BTK, their poppy upbeat dance sound as well as their heavy metalcore sound. Complete with 3 vocalists, BTK drills the ear with energy and dynamics both lyrically and melodically. Be on the look-out for bigger things to come for Behead Thy King.
