Doe''s Biography

Doe has been singing all her life, but over the last twenty years has pursued music as a serious study and passion. She is a graduate of Vancouver Community College''s Music program, and studied voice there under Dr. Jacob Hamm. Later she obtained a Bachelor of Music from Trinity Western University studying voice with Mr. Dale Throness. She has experience in classical, pop, and jazz stylings. Doe has had the privilege of attending Centrum''s Bud Shank Jazz Workshop in the beautiful state of Washington, U.S.A. to study with the renowned vocalist Nancy King.

At present Doe is a band teacher, and in addition sings all over the Greater Vancouver area with a variety of different musicians. Recently, she has played with Mr. Rob Goddard, a fabulous pianist. Rob is also the Senior band teacher at the Langley Fine Arts School, in Fort Langley. She has been accompanied by Dave Phyall, a guitarist, and Steve Bagnell, a very supportive horn player, who can play a variety of saxes, and clarinets, including Doe''s favorites, was the bass clarinet, and the bari sax. Doe also plays with Matt Bender, a percussionist and percussion teacher, and Mark Bender, "The Man She Loves" who plays acoustic, and electric Bass. Doe has most recently had Bruce Clausen, a world class guitarist and teacher, accompany her.
