A recent name change was fueled by a contest in ALL THREE Quad City Newspapers.(Davenport,Iowa, Moline and Rock Island, Illinois. It seems a Baltimore production team had the previous name trademarked and the turkeys wouldn''t even buy the old t-shirts!
1500 votes made Down the Deuce their new name. And the T-shirts with the Big Red X over the old name sold fast. Their new web site features Deuce news and pics from their shows.
All 10 "Banned in Baltimore" CD tracks were written by Terry or Jeff. Two of the songs passed on to the second round of the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITERS COMPETITION in the Blues Category. But the band isn''t just a blues group. The play a very eclectic mix. Still, making the cut among 15,000 submissions is a real achievement. So, call em a Blues bunch if you want to.

The band has been featured on the cover of Go Magazine in their home area of The Quad Cites and on the 97X FM morning show. They’re father and son rockers. Terry Loder is vocalist and guitarist with son Jeff on bass and vocals.
