Dave Jay wrote his first song when he was 9 years old about his first crush—kind of an adult theme for a young kid to write about. Now he’s an adult and this recent batch of songs is a whimsical collection of child-inspired ditties; I guess it’s all come full circle.
Dave Jay was a Finalist in the CT Comedy Festival and appeared on ABC-TV’s “The View” as their Original Song Contest Winner. He was also honored as a Special Guest Performer in Shure Microphone’s “Best Singer/Songwriter in New York” competition. You may have also heard his original J’Blammo Pop™ music (“…come up with your own name, you’ve got your own genre…”) on MTV, licensed for their programs “The Osbournes”, “Clone High” and “Undressed”.
This is Dave Jay’s first children’s CD to be released on this planet. After sending his music to the outer reaches of the universe and back, all will agree it is long overdue.
