dTales, a great band from a great https://www.tradebit.comles play pop- music with a touch of soul/funk and jazz. The musicians are very experienced and gifted.
Just now dTales is heavy in the media with their radio single ”If I”. This is one of the finest songs released in a long, long time. We are talking about a love song with capital L.
“If I” is written by Roger Pedersen, who is the guitarist in the band. He is maybe better known from the band “Heaven”. The biggest radio station on the west coast of Norway, Radio 102, together with 150 000 listeners have decided the song “Tack me back” to be an all time favourite. The song also hit nr. 1 on the national hit list “Norsktoppen” for 16 weeks!
Irene Viklund is singing with a passion and intuition that very few are capable of. The song “If I” is a teaser from the forthcoming dTales debut- CD. It’s scheduled in late March, beginning of April.
Kjetil Ulland has, together with dTales, produced the CD. He is international known for producing all the recordings of the international blues- guru Bjorn Berge. Kjetil has also co- produced the latest CD of the most popular band in Norway at this time, Vamp.
dTales are:
Irene Viklund: She has been a member of a lot of bands, both in Smola where she originally is from, and in Bergen where she lived for longer period. Irene was a lead singer in Oyvind Loberg’s famous quire, “Ad- Hock”, and she also anticipated in the Norwegian famous blues band “Nobodies business”. Her restlessness ended in Haugesund with the band “Wheelers and Dealers, and from there, as a lead singer in dTales.
Kjetil West: Started as the bass player in Sound Trip. They released a CD called “So sorry”. Sound Trip played many places in Norway.
Vidar Stoyva: An all round drummer with many project going on. Released a CD with the blues band Shakey Ground BB, and has toured a lot around. Vidar also was a member in “Sound Trip”. Dtales is now his ”baby”.
Roger Pedersen: Participated in the huge success of the band ”Heaven”, late 80’ties- beginning of the 90’ ties. He toured a lot throughout whole Norway during this period. Roger also was the guitarist in Sound Trip.
Jan Helge Holgersen: He has quite a big reputasjon as a freelance musician. Jan Helge has played with many of the finest artists in Norway.
