It is my extreme honor to be an official songwriter and CD BABY Artist! This CD is a reflection of life experiences over the last 6 years ... and although I have played keyboard and guitar for years, writing lyrics and vocals are a brand new exploration for me. I have read elsewhere by another artist and completely agree that these songs came through me, and continue to show me new ways to perceive the world all the time. Songwriting is as much a gift to the writer as the listener.
The first year I started writing, I sent in my first couple of songs (Walk and Forgive Again, featured on this CD) into the 1st Annual Eureka Spring Song Contest in 2003. It was done in conjunction with the 52nd Annual Folk Festival and I placed in the top 10 and was invited to perform it at the Basin Street Park in the middle of the Festival. It was a quick validation for me early on that I needed to keep showing up for this gift. The basic tracks for those two songs were created from the original rehearsal recording for the festival.
Orange and Wonder are the closest to my heart and are continual reminders for me to keep open to the flow of life and staying in touch to what a wonderous and fleeting experience this all is ...

This CD was recorded in my own home studio by myself and music partner Bryan Huling, and a few other special friends. I am inspired by many local artists and newly found CDBABY artists, Katie Marie and Deb Talen. I give great thanks to the family of musicians around me that provide constant inspiration and support.
