Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Denise Vasquez is really excited about her newest release "FRAME OF MIND". This is her first full legnth studio album, recorded in Nashville with producer Lauren Stalnecker. This album showcases Denise''s artistic talents to the fullest as a vocalist, a songwriter, guitarist, and as a painter. This album showcases a refreshing flow of eclectic pop with electronic production fusing rock, folk, pop, and ballads with soothing melodic hooks. On this album Denise invites her listeners to embark on a spiritual journey, where they become a part of her "FRAME OF MIND". Each song flows with the other to tell her story, painting pictures of her positive perspective of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The album booklet includes a collection of 13 original pieces of artwork by Denise & Friends, bringing together the visual artistic creativity behind the music & art.

Denise was just informed that she will be one of the artists FEATURED ON THE COVER OF THE NEXT Edition of "INDIEBIBLE".

Denise Vasquez just finished recording her studio album "FRAME OF MIND" with producer Lauren Stalnecker in Nashville. "My album is currently being manufactured by "Discmakers" and will be coming soon!!! I just received some mp3 sample clips from my album which I''m posting here in my EPK. I am really excited about my album...I spent a great deal of time selecting my songs, playing out live as much as I can (which I love & that is why I am predominately a solo artist, I can play out all the time, as much as I want to, especially for a cause...) I''ve gotten through many obstacles to get to this point, but I am here...I am so in the now! Working with producer Lauren Stalnecker on my album was a dream come true! He totally got me, my vision, as well as my music...not only do I love him as a producer, but as a person, he truly is a special breed!" "It''s an incredible feeling...I am living my dreams!
I was influenced by art at a very early age. My mother was an artist. We didn''t have much, but music and art and the theatre have always been a part of my life. I began singing from the time I could talk, dancing from the time I could walk, and writing from the moment I could form a sentence. My first experience on stage was at the age of 6 with "Ms. Dorothy''s Dance Troupe" at Lincoln Center. Throughout elementary, I had the opportunities to perform again at Lincoln Center with my chorus. In Junior High, I performed at Avery Fisher hall as a violinist with an orchestra my teacher put together with hand selected students from her class. High school was were I got a taste of acting. After graduating High School, I enrolled in The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where I studied acting and began seriously persuing the theatre. I''ve had the pleasure of performing in: Off Broadway productions (NYC), Improv groups (NYC), Feature Films (Carlito''s Way, Jungle Fever, Malcolm X...) TV (Law & Order, MTV, House Of Buggin...) as well as dancing in some Music Videos (You can see me in throughout Kenny Chesney''s entire video "How Forever Feels").
I feel that all of my experiences have prepared me for this moment!"

Denise continues writing songs every day, especially since she was inspired by Tim Bomba during a "Just Plain Folks" workshop. "Tim challenged 20 of us to turn off everything for 7 days and write 7 songs in 7 days...I think 2 of us accomplished this...two of the songs I wrote during the challenge "Right Here In My Dream" and "Take A Look On The Brightside" ended up on my upcoming album!"
