Details:
Dead Air Radio has established themselves in the music scene with their brand of high-energy rock. With strong melodic sensibilities, pounding rhythms, and complex guitar lines, Dead Air Radio fuses elements of progressive rock found in Dream Theater, Rush, and Yes with the heavier sounds of Tool and Metallica.

In April 2002 the band celebrated the release of its first recording Strange Frequencies, an entirely self-produced EP. The album contains six powerful songs and exemplifies the full range of the member''s talents, not only writing and performing, but also producing and mixing.

Dead Air Radio makes its home in Nashville, TN. The present lineup began to take shape in 1999, when lead vocalist and guitarist Bill Givens set out to find other like-minded musicians with a taste for "something different". First to join ranks was guitarist Dennis Thompson. Together they formed a creative bond that extended beyond either one''s expectations. The two were elated to find exactly who they were looking for in drummer Anthony Kratky, who was the first person to answer an ad pinned up at a local music store. The chemistry between these three breathed new life into existing material and fueled their passions to create new and exciting music together.

The three members are a unit of talented musicians who thrive on pushing themselves to write good songs while still challenging mainstream musical conventions. Individually they draw from a number of influences, and the resulting strength of these influences is a mix of dynamic content, one moment quiet like the calm before a storm, the next a thundering wall of chords and vocal harmonies. Their music reflects their true love of music for it''s own sake, as demonstrated with occasional mind-numbing passages, while utilizing driving beats and strong melody to solidify and weave it all together into a rich tapestry of heavy rock.

Dead Air Radio is seeking a bassist and keyboardist to complete the lineup. To perform live the band utilizes complex sequencing and programming. Additionally they continue to write and record new material while seeking management and label interest. They are looking to expand their following by playing in other areas of the world. Music lovers are always seeking something fresh and new, and Dead Air Radio is here to deliver with their brand of intricate, intense, pulse-pounding rock.

*** Review of Dead Air Radio show on 9/21/02 at The Outer Limit, Nashville, TN by Kenny Knight for the Nshville Rock https://www.tradebit.com :

Dead Air Radio? There is no Dead Air in this band. Dead Air Radio opened up the Nashville Rock Scene Showcase at the Outer Limit on September 21st, and it was all I could do to keep my jaw from hitting the floor. I mean, come on, we are all influenced by great, talented musicians. What sets these guys apart is their unique style and the ability to portray their influences and do them more than justice.

DAR is a really cool band to just sit and watch. If you like Rush, Dream Theater, and Queensryche, then you''ll love these guys. I myself am a major Rush fan, so naturally I loved Dead Air Radio. Their musicianship, stage presence, and sound are top notch.

I could ramble all day about this bands talent, but you really need to see these guys live to get the full-blown effect. Their CD is genius, but to really experience Dead Air Radio...buy a ticket."
