I developed my love for music in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, home of the Soca Warriors.
Singing Sesame Street songs with my sister Hermese-Ann was one of my favorite childhood memories. My first stint at real singing was with an acapella group called Visions of Glory which my aunt Hazel formed. I grew up loving R & B, soul and gospel music greats like Mahalia Jackson, Uretha Franklin, Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder.
Later on I trained vocally with Sterlin Gittens a gifted songwriter, singer, and producer. I grew tired of singing songs that were not my own. So I asked God to help me to compose my own songs. Thus began the group Prayze Project and the album Praise Him Up!
Its an eclectic mix of Hip Hop, soul and traditional gospel styles all fused to create this enjoyable album. It is an album that will lift your spirit whenever depression seeks to set in.
Prayze Project is a six member group, with the mission to spread the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ through music and to encourage others to stir up the gift of songwriting that may be lying dormant.
