I have loved classical music since I began piano lessons at age six--particularly the Romantic era, Brahms being my favorite. My private world also included jazz, rock and latin, and it all gelled together when I began putting my own notes to sheet music.
I began writing this series of pieces about the Pacific when spending a few months in Baja, at a cliff-top condo with an awesome view. I wanted to capture not only the scene, but the effect it has on you, as well as give honor to the One who created it. I wrote about the waves, sea life, and other scenes from the vantage point of the shore and also the experience of being out to sea. I came away touched to the soul.
