Details:
Lani Silver is an activist who has devoted her life to the attainment of human rights. For the past 30 years, Lani has worked as a Holocaust oral historian, anti-racism educator and Women Studies instructor. All of Lani’s life experiences have spawned new inspiration and have lead her to focus her energy and talents into the production of this political CD and her new career as a rock star. This CD is a tribute to all those who fight war and oppression. Lani is currently the Director of the James Byrd Jr. Racism Oral History Project, a project of the Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing. She is a native San Franciscan. Lani is undergoing a career change and is now becoming a rock star. Lani writes only political songs. This means, she writes music from a leftist and feminist perspective. She is critical of a wide variety of institutions and governments, but she says it in the nicest possible way. Lani’s songs are very funny. Lani is an optimist however, and thinks that if everyone put one hour a week into human rights causes we could save the world. Otherwise, she thinks we are going to blow ourselves up pretty soon. Please visit https://www.tradebit.com

Bill Spooner was born and raised in Arizona. The band Bill started in Phoenix, the Beans, moved to San Francisco in l970. Shortly after arriving, the Beans merged with another group, the Red, White and Blues Band, to become the Tubes. Bill was the guitarist/vocalist and principle songwriter in a group known for wacky, unpredictable music and an even stranger (some say bizarre) stage show. Bill has had over 300 songs published. He wrote and co-wrote ''White Punks on Dope'', ''Mondo Bondage'', ''She''s a Beauty'', and ''What Do You Want from Life?'' In l998 Spooner teamed up with Alex Guinness to form the acoustic rock-folk group the Folk-Ups. Bill teaches at Blue Bear School of American Music. Currently he is exploring the wonders of technology via the internet (https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com.
